My Broadband Ping

Thank you steelrat51.

Interesting. That is showing some mild latency spikes. Do you notice any issues? Are VOIP or conferences (zoom, teams, jitsi-meet, FaceTime, etc) smooth and work as expected? Can you try the 8x8 jitter / speed test at https://www.8x8.com/resources/voip-test?locale=uk ?

I'm on Virgin 350 in Manchester with Super Hub 3. I use modem mode and my router is an Asus GT-AC5300

I don't see any latency spikes, and looking at some of the graphs above I've got a really stable connection.

My Broadband Ping

Note that the dropped packets line at 4am today is due to my Asus router having scheduled reboots set for 4am Mondays.

That's a lovely graph. Thanks!

I am on M500 and using the HUB3 in router mode.

Looks good! Thanks very much. If you feel so inclined, what are the results on this speed test [ https://www.8x8.com/resources/voip-test?locale=uk ] that provides jitter information?

I get normal speed results and jitter is 2ms. My result: https://8x8stc.speedtestcustom.com/result/c0244f00-0...

Thanks again!

Very nice! Thank you.

When I had a Hub3 on the 200Mb service the graph was a somewhat full yellow, experiencing the Puma 6 chipset (latency spike) issue.

Does anyone know if that just got fixed along the way? Or if I had it before I would have it again because of the specific cable modem gear being used in my area? (Area 20 Brighton if I remember correctly)?

I gather new firmware was released which helped, I thought there was a news article on the main site about it. Doesn't mean you wouldn't get other network sharing impacts specific to your road / town or region. (e.g. if you had two or three student houses nearby keeping connection running flat out 24x7 !)

1GB Hub4 modem mode with netgear R8000 router. Solid speeds of 950+ over 1gb Ethernet. Obviously overheads restricting speed.
