It is a pretty normal graph for Virgin Media Fibre/HFC. This is what mine looks like which is heavily utilised connection on M100.

Interestingly, early this morning around 4 AM some general maintenance happened as the connection dropped briefly, confirmed it wasn't just me as another VM connection in the area being monitored shows the same dropped packets on the graph at the same time. Modem logs suggests an update of some description

Since this however, it seems the latency is better at least for now. The yellow spikes are typical though. Compared to FTTC and such, latency on Virgin Media will always be worse, certainly for cable/HFC anyway.
