Thinking of not switching

Well, it looks like Vodafone have cancelled the order - just enquiring why at the moment.

I've asked for the order to be manually re-created...

So far, it hasn't exactly gone to plan smile

This could be an opportunity for their customer service to shine.... (or not!). Will be interesting to see how this pans out.

I'd consider leaving sky for Vodafone - nothing like saving some cash, but the Sky Fibre server has been pretty good to me, so I'm a tad scared about leaving!

Sky Fibre (40/10), Draytek 130, DrayTek 2925, DrayTek AP-700
(Gone but not forgotten: 2820n x 2, 2800vg, 2800, HG612)

Indeed - online customer support has been no problem. It's just their system thats causing problems.

Oh, and at the moment, it looks like the £49 setup isn't being charged :

Oh no, not good, this is a reason why I worry about moving that it will go belly up and I will be left with no internet.

Hahahahahaha

*breath*

hahahaha.

Hopefully it's a different team to the one that looks after their mobile customers. If it wasn't that I need a signal booster I'd ditch them in a heartbeat. Shambolic is the word that springs to mind for that shower.

Worth noting that EE now support native WiFi calling which works fine.

Vodafone is not the only choice smile

Once upon a time maybe, but now that EE's support is UK based only I find them to be pretty good. Certainly far better than Vodafone and Three.

Customer Service has always been UK based for me when I call. Only PAYG customers go to an off shore call centre.

The only complaint I've had the executive team corrected in around 12 hours.

Speed wise I get 100Mbps speedtests in zone 2 central London and 20Mbps Oxford Street.

I use VF as well for a work handset, it's ok but much more 2G and a severe lack of 3G / 4G in places such as the east coast virgin train line.

Something (hopefully the router) has been despatched (according to online support), although their system says the order number is invalid!

At the moment they are checking the activation date - although it wouldn't surprise me if they say there is no order!

Good news! I will apparently be connected on the 13th September! With the router despatched, it should now all be trouble-free smile

i phoned up EE on behalf of a friend and i wish I did not, they was as bad as BT, saying that they are BT now. I know Plusnet is BT, but they seems to be keeping them separate at the moment.

The other problem with EE is their phone signal, it is not that great, saying that it is better than Vodafone at the moment up where my mate live. Mostly around here Vodafone is ok, I do not know about 4G as I do not have it and I can not see myself going for 4G for a long time unless my phone goes belly up.

Perhaps you called EE's pay as you go support team?

EE Returns 100% of Pay Monthly Support Calls to the UK and Ireland

Maybe the Samsung S3 Neo hardware doesn't support wifi calling?

Probably. Whatever the reason I don't have any plans to change my phone at the moment so that rules out wifi calling.

Good luck, once it is up and going, we want reports for the next couple of weeks smile

Do you stream a lot? It would be nice to hear how it copes with video and audio streaming, certainly now that I have got a Audio and video google cast.

I have heard that Vodafone is going to do a soft launch of a TV service, not sure how that will go. so expect emails and letter about that once it is up and running.
I had another letter yesterday from Vodafone about their broadband, well a leaflet, I stopped the emails and the text, but they still send leaflets.

Are you on vodafone for your mobile phone?
