fttc running slow

Hi folks,
Am posting here as vodafone tech level2 seem to be at a loss as what is causing the following issue;

Best results i can get using speedtest.net is 34.47 down and 18.16 up, (using an ethernet cable on a well spec'd pc)

True, but i am paying for the 76mmeg package and vodafone are not allowing me to downgrade to the 38meg package, So i am reaching out to the knowledgeable community of here....

In that case, are you sure wifi is disabled when testing over ethernet?

amd 8-core running @ 3.5 ghz
8 gb ram
forget exact spec of nvidia card
256gb ssd

win 7 svc pack 1 & dual boot with qubes os

There is a big hint in the results from the thinkbroadband test, see how the two download tests differ...the tbb is more congestion and other issues sensitive, whereas the httpx6 saturates the connection over coming issues like this.

So it may be the Vodafone service (or the Openreach cabinet) is very busy in your area. Try the test again in the morning (breakfast times) and if much better you know its not a PC setup issue. Others are seeing some variation between the two tests too

Looks a lot like congestion, I second testing at non-peak hours.

Its better but has a hint to it, that once things get busier the tbb result is going to drop.

The early one shows that there is nothing per se wrong with the PC or connection.

That looks like a fairly typical test over 2.4GHz not 5GHz.

Is your router transmitting a 5GHz signal on a different SSID to 2.4 GHz?
