Have you tried wifi?
pretty much same speeds
In that case, are you sure wifi is disabled when testing over ethernet?
Link type >>> Interleaved path <<<
That alone could lose you 10+ Mbps

usb wifi adaptor removed during test

What make and model of PC are you using?
Which operating system?

There is a big hint in the results from the thinkbroadband test, see how the two download tests differ...the tbb is more congestion and other issues sensitive, whereas the httpx6 saturates the connection over coming issues like this.
So it may be the Vodafone service (or the Openreach cabinet) is very busy in your area. Try the test again in the morning (breakfast times) and if much better you know its not a PC setup issue. Others are seeing some variation between the two tests too

But not everyone

A good test should look more like

Is that the AMD FX8320 Black Edition 8 Core?
Which motherboard?
Which ethernet card?

Looks a lot like congestion, I second testing at non-peak hours.

Have you got another device like a PC or a phone to try it on? The speed test will run on a phone
not sure on board, got a deal from ebuyer.com and its the inbuilt nic

Its better but has a hint to it, that once things get busier the tbb result is going to drop.
The early one shows that there is nothing per se wrong with the PC or connection.

That looks like a fairly typical test over 2.4GHz not 5GHz.
just checked i'm on a 5ghz capable device and sat less than a metre away, and ideas gratefully received...

Is your router transmitting a 5GHz signal on a different SSID to 2.4 GHz?
