Just connected to gigafast 500/500

A guy from kellys came round on behalf of vodafone and the install had only taken about 1hr

really happy with the speeds.

Feels like i've stepped into the modern age

Nice x6 speed, although single thread speed isn't great. Speed tests between 7pm and 10pm would be useful to know.

Seems weak 1xHTTPs

but i haven't notice it in downloading stuff probably because most things are multi-threaded,

Interesting, at least x1 is superior to 80 meg. And reasonably priced too.

Nice to see that Vodafone have fixed the back haul issues. /sarcasm.

I've not had any problems so far lets hope it keeps up.

How long did it take from them laying the fibre in your stree until going live?

They have started in my town this week so wondering how long it will be

Your single thread speedtest isn't great and high ping at 23ms for FTTP? You need to test this real time from samknows speedtest and post back what it say.

If they have just started in your town it may be some time before they switch on.
Im in Northampton and they broke ground in Sept 2019 and they have already completed most of east of the A45 which is where I am, they are literally putting in a cabinet today at the end of my street. Nothing has been activated yet, im guessing probably (hopefully) March/April time - but then they will have to be quick as Openreach are also out FTTP'ing the estate which i was told is a few months to complete. Nothing for 10+ years other than ADSL and now two FTTP/H in the space of a few weeks.

He's in Aberdeen. Whether on FTTP all the way or wet string back to the exchange light can only go so fast

To avoid people getting the wrong idea from what ADSLMax says

The Samknows test is another web page based speed test

Its been good so far i've had no issues just works like it should

it was about 2 and a half months after i was able to order

as to adslmaxs comments

my ping is about 16ms to a london server and 11ms to manchester.

but yeah living so far up doesn't help too much haha.

It's more like 11-15 ms on Gigafast here in Aberdeen.
