FTTP via Openreach on Voda - RLOD

[link to this post]

Installed Monday, a week late after a noshow. (£35 credit). Fine until today, the dreaded red light of death on the ONT. (Nokia)

My past experience of Openreach is not good. (Is anyones?) They sending an engineer tomorrow. Beginning to wish I stuck to FTTC, but Voda were so slow pushing new speeds via that (100mb only recently).

Another oddity, the Voda website reckons my street no longer has fiber. Hah. I hope this is a mere coincidence..

Engineer out today, turns out the fibre wasn't spliced properly, very improperly infact, it just fell apart.

The splice in your CSP presumably.

Was it an Openreach engineer or a subbie that did the original install?
