Anyone have experience with "Pro II Full Fibre 900"?

Hi,
Was on Virgin 1Gig and recently renewed my contract with them for £51 but then came across a what I thought was a good deal. Signed up today with the Pro II Full Fibre 900 plan for £45 per month.. Does anyone have experience with it? It seems good for the price with the following features:

New Ultra Hub with WiFi 6E
Super WiFi 6E Booster
Dedicated WiFi Xperts
Automatic 4G Broadband Back-up

The last one seems very appealing. It comes with100GB per month data if needed and I was told that if the outage lasted longer, the data allocation would be increased.

Whilst I don't have any direct experience with that particular product I have a lot of experience from helping others.
The new Ultra Hub is proving to be a decent bit of kit. However, the boosters can occasionally be problematic to set up. Vodafone support is farmed out to Egypt and all they do is work through a flow chart, every time you contact them. Also (not being derogatory) the staff know squat about networking. The 4G backup is proving to be reasonably reliable.
Having said all that, have a look around the forums and see how few problems are occurring.It's not as bad as it's labeled.
You want support? Talk to the vodafone forum members first before dealing with vodafone themselves - much less stressful.

Thanks for the reply. I’ve been considering the options and have opted to go for the basic 900mbit internet without the extras. I already have 4 BT Whole Home wifi discs and getting 300-600mbits in the house. The only extra thing is the backup and I may look at the issue if I ever need it by getting a data SIM card.

You'll likely not be able to use the BT discs with the vodafone router, although normal extenders/APs will work just fine. If you want 4g backup then you'll need your own dongle as well.

I don't know what you mean. The BT discs are wifi extenders.
All routers these days have at least 3-4 ethernet cable socket. All I need is to plug the master disc into the ethernet socket of the vodafone router!

Ahh yes. This was a problem due to bug/s in the disc firmware.

I also got this problem connected to my Virgin router. The problem/s has been fixed by a new firmware as indicated on the thread and is also now working for me too...

All I see in that thread are understandably impatient peeps still waiting for a firmware release. Also would bt make this firmware available outside of bt users?

The new firmware was released at the end of August/beginning September I believe. I found out around third week of September as I had stopped tracking the BT thread. So should be working now.

That's good to know. I'll bear it in mind when the subject comes up again
