Hi folks,
As VF have so kindly removed their forum, I'm stuck for support...
I've changed from a RT86U to AXE11000, and have configured everything like for like. The Grandstream connects, and incoming calls work - but outgoing calls always get an engaged tone.
What is more annoying is when I switch back to the RT86U, it no longer works with that too.
Any suggestions most appreciated.

The only thing I recall being changed in the voip setup is the User-Agent. Where it used to be "Vox 3.0", it's now "Vox 3.0v".
That's the only thing I've ever seen change in the 4+ years I've been doing this.

have you set the sip pass through to disabled
go to wan > nat pass through and then change sip pass through to disabled and hit save

@Taras, With it set to "Vox 3.0v" I still get an engaged tone on outgoing calls (at the point it would normally ring)
Incoming calls still work.

@Ripshod, Yes. It's set to disabled. Still doesn't work. SIP Passthrough and PPPoE Relay is disabled. Everything else in the list is enabled.

Hi all, i have vodafone vdsl with daytek router and grandstream 801 for my digital landline. Ripshod kindly helped me on the setup last yeat on the vodafone forum. All has been working fine until last week, now i can only receive calls but no outgoing calls. i get dial tone, dialling number the silence/disconnect after few seconds.Anyone else having problems or have vodafone changed the parameter for their digital service. i have tried the Vox 3.0v but no change.

I changed mine to Vox 3.0v but whist incoming calls ring, when you answer you get an engaged tone. Vox 3.0 fixes that.

I'm wondering the same. Used to work fine with old router, but now won't work with that either.

tried to ring number - phone didnt ring just cut off from mobile..
plugged my router with grandstream 801 - able to receive calls but still unable to dial out.
been like this for over week

try microsip on a pc, it should give some more info on whats happening

Vodafone's sip service won't connect to microsip. It was hard enough reverse engineering the service to get grandstream devices connected in the first place.
Those affected by this issue should be comparing locations as this appears to be a gateway issue. Town names will do - no postcodes. Gateway IPs would also be useful (available on your router)

Late to the party but maybe this will help. We don't use the phone much. Just my wife, occasionally. She told me the phone wasn't working. She had called work but got the engaged tone but tried on her mobile and got through.
Had a play with the settings. Nothing had been changed. I use an Grandstand HT801.
Almost gave up but found a post on, I think, Reddit that sorted it.
In the FXS Port menu, look for "Use P - Preferred Identity Header"
Mine was set to default. Changed it to "NO".
No more engaged tone and we can make calls. Must be something changed at Vodafone's end as nothing was changed at my side.
