Dual mode handset with headset capability?

[link to this post]

Hello,

I'm looking into signing up for the Zen Broadband voice service as I am already a customer and I need to cut down my huge telephone bills.

I am after a handset that will do the following:

Ability to use a headset or speakerphone while on a call.
SIP and Analogue line capable. So that I can take all my calls through the one device.
Ideally I'd like to be able to sync the contacts with the PC, but not essential

I'd settle for using a softphone with a headset attached if I could also terminate normal calls through my PC, but I'd prefer a hardware based solution.

Any ideas? I have had a good look around, but as I don't have any experience I didn't just want to jump in.

can't say I've seen a dual mode VoIP / PSTN handset, so an analogue phone with headset coupled to something like a Sipura 3000 ATA perhaps ?

Thank you for the advice.

Would any of these products do to the trick?

Where do you source the Sipura kit from? Might give it a go..

you need an FXS and an FXO port, FXS for the phone connection and FXO for the landline.

Sipura were taken over by Linksys so the SPA3102 on that page would be the relevant one.

I've just seen this - too late for you but it may help someone else in the same position.

The Siemens S450IP would do all that you want in a single unit - the base station supports 1 landline + 2 Voip calls (from up to 6 voip accounts) & the handset(s) (up to 6 - each of which can have a discrete account allocated to them) sport a 2.5mm headset jack.
