BT Business VoIP Services not using the Falcon

Hi All,

well I like to make a splash when I join a forum so here it goes

Basically my brother has just signed up to BT VoIP and doesn't want to use the BT Falcon, but a Cisco SPA303 as he is happy and likes that phone, so does anyone know the config for the phone or even BT's Sip details so I can configure it.

He would also like to use a Sip Software phone, x-lite, xcs etc but again no details.

This is what BT have supplied

SIP server details:
number/username: 05xxxxxxxxxx
SIP password: xxxxnotthatcrazytoshowmypwxxxx
Domain: bmnhb-03.bt.com
Alt Domain: sip.bbvservice.nat.bt.com
Outbound proxy: www.bbvservice-5603484.bt.com (www.bbvservice-5603484.bt.com)
IP address: 62.239.15.132

The info you posted probably contains most of what you need, it's a matter of figuring out where to put what info when different names are used for the same thing.

I am about to go down the same route - but with Gigaset interfaces.

I have stripped off the information during a 2701 VOIP setup/login and it is much the same as you have with once exception.

You have: www.bbvservice-5603484.bt.com with 7 digits, on my two there are just 6 digits 560345 and 560341

That Grandstream thread has been there for over a year and nothing added. I thought about their phones but if they will not publish a solution I will not risk it!
