Buying credit from DiscountVOIP - Credit card stopped.

I often see DiscountVOIP recommended as a cheap supplier, so I added £12.44 to my DiscountVOIP (Dellmont) account using a Barclaycard. This lead to a security phone call from BC who told me that the card had been stopped because of this payment.

Does that mean Barclaycard have suspicions about the credit card data security regime and Dellmont? That is how it sounds to me.

Presumably. I suppose it is an online purchase which is not associated with an address. Most things I order online require a delivery to the address associated with the card. It could be that if the card was stolen this is one of the purchases which it could quite easily be used for, possibly fof calling Nigeria or maybe a premium rate number..
