Yeah, but all numbers are gone and the service isn't working.
Emails to Dave are not replied to.

So it has. There goes my bock of ten numbers that i had.
I think i got an email from the about a month ago. I did not take too much notice of it.
I will see if i can find it.

Email from Dave saying that, reluctantly, he's been forced to pull the plug, because of scammers abusing the service.
He suggests porting my numbers to another provider.
Any suggestions as to who will accept a block of ten(?) ... without charging an arm and a leg ... would be gratefully received.

You'll need to ensure they have a porting agreement with the range holder too..

Thanks Matt,
Do you know if Dave's company (TelNG Ltd.) is a range-holder in its own right, or just some kind of reseller?
TelNG's Ofcom CUPID is: 394

Can you give the area code and first 2 digits of the number?

The block, as far as the "e" digit, is 0132271xxxx

Yes, the range holder is TelNG Ltd.
I would ask your contact there for a list of providers they already have porting agreements with. That'll give you a list to work from.

Thanks again Matt,
TelNG is basically Dave & Marina.
Might take a while, as I think Dave's been hiding in a cupboard for the last fortnight.

I'll ask around to see if any of my contacts know of anyone that can take such numbers.
Might not be until Monday I hear back from them though.

The first thing I'm going to try and ask him is if he's going to surrender his ranges back to Ofcom.
If he does that then porting could prove to be an expensive waste of time.

.. he may also hand them over to someone else to maintain.

Similar email from Dave. He suggested to me porting to Surevoip (who coincidentally supply my outbound trunk), I don't know if he has agreed this with Surevoip or whether it was the first name that came to mind.
Surevoip charge £4 a month per number to host so I'm instead trying to port the numbers to Voxbeam who can charge from 0.40usd per number/month.
Voxbeam have told me they can port and accept the numbers, but as yet this hasn't happened. Part of the delay may be that the Voxbeam paperwork requested a copy of the latest invoice from the current provider, which of course I don't have.

Voxbeam have confirmed that they have initiated the port (at 30USD per number), but no further progress.

Does anyone manage to port a number from TelNG? I contacted Sipgate (they don't have a porting agreement with TelNG) and Voxbeam (still waiting for their reply).

Yes, I ported my our numbers to voxbeam last month. All went very smoothly and Voxbeam were very helpful and quick. I've since bought two further new DDI with Voxbeam and am pleased with the service and performance.

Thanks, scots_jon, appreciate the quick reply.
I will try to port it to them, let's see how it goes.
