hi

it is possible to use Sip gate on any network as long as it meets the minimum requirement for VOIP. (mobile network 3g or higher)

you could just use a App on the mobile, to connect a dect you would use a dect that is sip completable, you would have to connect it to a router that is able to use the WIFI as a wan connection. another option would be to use a Sip ATA, you could also get a router that supports VOIP again it would have to support a WIFI wan.

its not difficult but could be a learning curve smile i can not guarantee you will not have carrier grade NAT or double NAT issues

I've been using VOIP services to both my mobile and home phones for some time but the mobile app I use is no longer available (cSIPsimple) so you may have to find an alternative.

At home I have DECT phone, 3 Panasonic units on ne base. They are connected to a Camrivox UTA-151 device (also obsolete) that allows me to plug the normal BT type plug into it and an Ethernet cable to the router or a hub.

Both methods require the basic info found here: https://basichelp.sipgate.co.uk/hc/en-gb/articles/20...

I went for VOIP a long time ago when I was doing radio presenter work and wanted separate lines to use in the shows. Originally I just had them going to voicemail which forwarded to email. Later cSIPsimple allowed me to connect multiple VOIP lines.

By using a Gigaset N300 IP, preferably with Gigaset phones or connecting a DECT base to a Cisco SPA112.

I am using this v1.02.03 version but I don't think it came from that site.

Likewise v1.02.03 r2457 which I downloaded ages ago from an 'official' site, but no idea where now.
I'm told a version is also available by looking at Google Archive ?

It works, that's all I need really.

Thanks for all the info. Probably going with a "Softfone" solution.
