VOIP Adaptor or Handset Recommendation

[link to this post]

A family member is moving their internet connection in the next week or so from EE FTTC to Vodafone (via Cityfibre) so their telephone line will now come via VoIP.

In light of this 'PTSN' telephone number migration to CityFibre/VoIP/Vodafone, they require a handset which they can instead use to plug into the new Vodafone Router.

Are there any recommendations for a fairly basic wired & wireless solution that would work here?

Current set up is a wired telephone base station, and multiple wireless handsets around the house, which also does Voicemail recording. If a similar

From the research I've carried out so far, the VoIP handsets/telephones are rather expensive. Ofcourse, if that is the only option, then that's what will have to be paid, but, if there are alternatives, that would be great.

I've also read about VoIP adaptors - but couldn't find any further information.

Is it possible to use a VOIP adaptor in this scenario and if so, any recommendations for which to purchase?

The current 'phone base station, plugs into the 'phone port on the Vodafone router.
Then use everything as previous.
No requirement for new 'phones.
