AA.NET Receive calls on my mobile

[link to this post]

Hi everyone.
I bought an 0203 landline number via aa.net. Having always had a landline I have entered new territory. How do I make sure calls to my new aa.net 0203 number are received on my Android mobile?
Thank you very much 😊

Some options:

1. Set a divert on the control.aa.net.uk page to send all calls to your mobile - You will be billed for the diverted call though.

2. Setup a VOIP app on your phone to register to A&A using the SIP credentials for your number. Look at Zoiper, 3CX etc

3. Make use of the A&A SIP2SIM service - Call and data pricing isn't great for this so you may want to use a handset with two SIM slots for this. You'll also not have access to your mobile number, unless yiu are using a second SIM

Quite a range of hardware and softphone configuration pages under the category listing.

prlzx on Zen: FTTC (VDSL) at ~40Mbps / 10Mbps
with IP4/6 (no v6? - not true Internet)

I use and recommend Acrobits Softphone.

Their server registers with your SIP provider, and then uses Android native notifications to wake up your phone - this means the app isn't draining battery in the background while waiting for an incoming call.

It's a one-time purchase, no ongoing cost. There's also Acrobits Groundwire which is slightly more expensive but adds some extra features.
