VOIP Provider Comparison Service

[link to this post]

Is there a VOIP provider comparison table?

My VOIP provider is great and reasonably priced but they have other products that have very expensive pricing so I'm concerned they may stop providing VOIP and I don't know any other providers (maybe BT?).

I have not come across a VoIP provider comparison. It is quite difficult, due to their different pricing models (inclusive minutes or pay per call), so you would probably need to look at each provider individually to find one that suits your usage best.

I looked at Net Telco, Numberpeople, Andrews & Arnold, soho66, VoIPtalk, Voipify, Voipstudio, Voipfone and Yay about a year ago and then switched from POTS to Andrews & Arnold. But there are more out there.

Who is your current VoIP provider? I would be surprised to see a provider discontinuing their VoIP service, more likely that they put up prices or withdraw "free" services (like it happened to Sipgate Basic)

It is Andrews & Arnold.
I have only tiny knowledge but they seem too cheap. Also I only ever see recommendations for this single provider.
I'm worried that if there is a problem then I have no idea who else I can turn to.

I wouldn't have any concerns about Andrews & Arnold, they have been on the go since 1997/8 and although not the biggest of companies or cheapest for their internet products they are unique I would say.

They have a recently article on their website about VOIP and are very much so pushing the product.

The company only has less than 20 staff so its a very small but reputable company, they are geared up for the more savy customer, these sorts of companies don't make lots of money but the added benefit of services like this they can offer customers can often bring in other business and its just one of those nice products they can offer at a good cost.

I'm going to be tranfering more numbers into them over the next few years, their service for me is great, you can email and ring in and talk to a human who understands things.

I don't think A&A will drop their VoIP service any time soon. Once Openreach have migrated all POTS lines to VoIP and users become aware that switching providers is getting easier, companies like A&A will grow their subscriber base. And even if they did decide to close down VoIP, you could still migrate to another provider.
