Cordless for Gigaset A300IP

[link to this post]

I wish to retain this but am looking for new Cordless phones to use with it. My wishlist is

Easy loading of phonebook (Bluetooth or other)
VOIP function Compatibility with A300

The Gigaset 'Compatibility' web site no longer covers the A300.

Is there a Gigaset phone that fits the above or would Yealink fit the bill?

Are you sure about te part number?

A300 was a handset as far as I remember, N300IP was the base.

No - he is just dozey! It should be the A580IP. Sorry.

I have just seen the Grandstream range (720/750) which do the contacts transfer - any thoughts?

Easiest thing - ring Gigaset support on Tuesday and ask. My S850 has Bluetooth and I believe access to edit the list - but I've never used it!

I have a locked down Yealink but cannot find any Bluetooth connnetion capability. The only positve that the Yealink has over teh N300A IP is that it supports PoE.

liGo sell a lot of Gigaset gear (at decent prices). Perhaps have a chat with them about what you would like etc...

@mikejp
Have dealt with Ligo several times - nothing bad to say about them. Always helpful, knowledgable and friendly. They also sell through Amazon and e-bay and occasionally the prices there are cheaper.

Using a non-Gigaset handset with that base will only have basic GAP functions, so I don't recommend it. If the base does all you need pretty much most Gigaset handsets will probably work. The directory is stored in each handset independently but pretty much all Gigaset handsets have a copy list or individual entries to the other handsets. Pg 64 of the A580IP manual shows this copy function. It has to be registered to the base obviously.

There are a load of very cheap handsets on eBay as loads of people are ditching landlines. Doesn't apply to you but Pro series base stations need Pro handsets for full functionality, otherwise basic GAP only, but Pro handsets work in non-pro base stations, I'm pretty sure.
