AVM Fritz!Box 7530AX & BT Digital Voice Adaptor

[link to this post]

Apologies if this has already been covered.
In the process of migrating ISP from PlusNet to Zen (FTTC) and trying to determine if anyone has experience of the BT DVA working successfully with the FB. The FB is DECT-GAP, the BT DVA is apparently GAP compatible (according to its spec-sheet) but advertises itself as only working with BT's DV service. Assistance gratefully received.

Fritz!Box has it's own DECT base station onboard along with an analog phone socket. So you do not need an ATA (Digital Voice Adaptor) at all. You can configure the Fritz!Box to work with your VOIP service, pair any DECT handsets to it (instead of the existing base) and away you go.

see https://en.fritz.com/products/fritzbox/fritzbox-7530...

==================
The FRITZ!Box 7530 AX includes a telephone system for modern IP-based connections. With DECT you can create a telephone system with up to six cordless phones. There are also ports for connecting your analog telephone or fax machine. Multiple answering machines, online telephone books and numerous convenience features make phone calls via the FRITZ!Box 7530 AX a joy.
==================

The only reason you may have for keeping an existing base is to use as a charger for the handset. No phone connection.

If you can't obtain the required configuration from your provider (BT?) then I suggest you port your number to someone who will provide such detail and ditch BT altogether.
