Can A Web Search Find Text In .gif Files ?

[link to this post]

For reasons too lengthy to explain, I want to have certain information on my web site........but I don't want that information to be generally searchable on the net.

I want anyone to be able to find my site if they do a search for skills ( Oracle, SQL, etc ) but I DON'T want to be readily found via my name and address. Let's just say I'm hiding from certain former acquaintances.

So....I figured that if I put text into a .gif file instead and post that on the web site instead.....it will not be able to be found via a web search. Is this correct......or is there a way a web search can find text in .gif files ?

Or....for that matter....is there any other way of having information show on a web page but restricting it from being found via a search ?
