Which web host / server ADVICE Please

[link to this post]

Have a friend who is a small business lady and wishes to offer individual websites for her customers. She will maintain and service all the sites she creates.
Which company do you recommend she rents / space from etc?
The sites she will offer will be fairly basic and not too complicated but they will require each customer to have their own domain name etc.
She does not wish to learn a programming language so would design the sites maybe in FRONTPAGE or something similar.

Your ideas and suggestions will be very much welcomed
Thank you,
Ken.

She is not at this moment suggesting any particular amount.
She will require reliability and stability .
This posting is asking for guidance and recommendations..
Can someone point towards where this info may be sourced ?

To be honest with you ken there are literally thousands of webhosts to choose from and people on here could recommend various ones based on their own experiences however times change and a webhost that was known for being great and reliable 2 years ago may not be today or in the future etc. This makes it a little difficult to give you exactly what you want.

I posted a thread a little way down about offering free hosting to those who want it so maybe your friend could have a look at that before forking out money for an account with a webhost. PM me if you're interested in a free account.

As for recommendations, you pay your money and you take your chances. Some people swear by 1and1 hosting and some people swear about 1and1 hosting. Swings and roundabouts I'm afraid.

I'll vouch for Macoman too, they've been very reliable and cheap! They support Fronpage extensions too (Have to enable them manually - a couple of clicks from the CP). 1&1 might be easier for a novice but you'll pay for it.
