I'd Like to Learn Flash - I Think!

Hello,

I've been getting better at websites and am progressing with my own. What I'd like to do now is to learn how to use flash so I can have an animated header (ie images that change after 5 seconds or so). Is it flash that's done the image header on this site for example or am I barking up the wrong tree. What would I need to learn to have rotating images on a header is really what I'm looking to do.

Can anyone please recommend the best way to learn this - is there a good book or website that can teach me from scratch?

Yes it is flash, the inbuilt flash tutorials are pretty good within flash!

You can get very close to that example using javascript. There's a jquery plugin called cycle that is definitely worth a look. Don't take the examples on the plugin's front page as the best it can do - go through the pages and see what you think

i learned www.swishzone.com which at the time was much easier than Flash.
