Displaying news and twitter feeds

I'm redeveloping my football teams website and something I think would be a ice addition would be a news feed on a sidebar with sports news from a few websites that link to that particular article.
Is this actually possible? Or would it be easier to integrate a twitter feed to the site and make twitter posts about articles of interest? How would I go about integrating a twitter feeds into the website? If possible I would want to do something like whats on this website.
