Cheap .com with privacy.

Posting on behalf of a friend - I'm happy with my host, but he won't pay that much !!

He's looking for the cheapest supplier of a .com domain with privacy protection.
Any ideas ? He will need DNS management etc..

He also need some 'cheap' hosting, PHP & mySQL Support.

Anyone tried http://only1internet.com/ ??

Can't help with the domain registration, but for hosting I use a company called Ardesco Solutions.. £2 a month for the 'Bronze' package (unless you pay annually, in which case there is a discount)..

Responses to my queries are fast, hosting has been trouble free.. Caveat: There is no control panel..

Look at daily.co.uk or godady for domains ... Would say keep your hosting and domains separate!

We don't offer domains but do offer competitive hosting.

Just though I should post a follow up to this.
I wish I had followed MrPete's advice and used a different host !
But I choose the cheap option..

domainmonster seem to be great, very fast service and simple to manage. no issues with them and would totally recommend them..

We moved from Hostso to Nethosted and now everything is working much faster... and more reliable.

hostso did refund all the money minus the first month (69p)
