Why do some websites like to disable context menu's as its too easy to enable again through the browsers options?? :/

It's a pretty 1999 approach to a pretty non-existent problem.

Haven't seen sites doing this for a while. Any links?

That's easy to get around though, just pull in the image with ajax too. Ebay does that iirc.
