so what am i looking for

a isp that provides a 2mb fixed line adsl service with the upload speed of the max services, in facted i would say i'd go back to 1mb adsl if i could have the upload speed

what you are asking for doesn't exist. If Eclipse are the reason for the low download speed then migrate to someone who doesn't do traffic shaping.

Sorry to hijack this thread but are there any ISPs who offer a peak usage limit with "unlimited" offpeak usage that do not trafficshape etc?

Fluff is powered by: NTL 10mbit/512kbit & UKOnline Broadband 2mbit/256kbit (Backup)

Using: D-Link DGL-4300 & 3Com

Such a shame none of the isps have cottoned on...... am not fussed about getting more then 2mb down, it's the upload i'd rather have.....

Put request in for my MAC code but am not getting my hopes up that they will answer the ticket i raised with them in the next week.

If you really want upload speed then you should go for an SDSL connection... but it'll cost a damn site more than

Cheers for that, they are one of the ISP's i been looking at since joining Eclipse..... and it's not a bad price either

My on concern is the jumping ship to the "latest thing" ie i move to the isp that seems to be topping the list only for it it fall from grace due to too many people on the network....... seems i did this with eclipse and i joined at a bad time for them......

SDSL, i would if it was in my area but sadly it's not......

Still not made mind up yet so many choice so many prices :/
