300 - 400 what ? meg, gig ???

I would also look at idnet and newnet as to reguards gaming. Also forget the 20-1 ratio, BT no longer work contention on that basis. The higher upload speed office packages get a higher priority than the std home deals... NO figures are quoted by BT now, so any isp is pushing it a bit by quoting such figures or has simply failed to update their site... to reflect the new MAX offerings....
Also being a new activation will proberly mean a

Be very careful if you are considering adsl24 or any other enta net reseller.

I was thinking of migrating over to them but after all this traffic shaping fiasco and reading how some of the reseller staff react and treat customers, I am not so sure.

Just be careful who you go with.

I only just moved over to ukfsn and I found jason helpful...

shapping is a natural occurrance on adsl...most companies do it now.

The one on enta seems reasonable it only kicks in on 96% usage of a central would you rather it didnt and the whole central slowly churns to a mess of lost packets and uber slow speeds.

In reply to:

Don't mean we like it or have to put up with it. I'm sorry but traffic shaping is not the way fowards, it just alienates customers but this is also partly down to BT wholesale, for rolling out 8mb and not having the capacity to cater for it.

As for the staff, sorry but that is not right when reseller are threatening to cut customers off just because they are unhappy. It's part of business, you get happy customers and unhappy customers, if they are not getting the service they pay for, then they have every right to be upset. It is no good staff acting like school children and saying they will cut you off, just deal with it. Anyway I think it could end up in court for that, as it would be a breach of contract.

Nobody was ever cut off for being unhappy.

In fact nobody has ever been cut off at all to my knowledge.

I made the decision to end our relationship with one customer who became very abusive and persisted in such over a period of 2 weeks. He was not cut off but rather given a MAC and required to use it.

No business accepted customers who are repeatedly abusive.

the ANONYMOUS poster (one of the top posters here)

strange how innuendo, half truths (being generous) seem to be in a similar vein

to some others who also use their correct login at times.

would say I found it annoying but don't want to light their fire =:-)

just use your login - don't be shy !

I am not one of the regular posters on here or one of there customers who has a problem with ukfsn, or any other entanet reseller.

I am just stating my views on what I have been reading on this this forum. That's why this forum is here, to find out about isp's and how good they are but they also have to expect criticism.

I was, am a potential customer but after what I have seen on this forum, it has put me right off. Sorry.
