Hi,
First off as from the 14th of this month, no ISP can charge for or withold your MAC due to the new ofcom regs.
Also you billing is direct with Enta, via direct debit, or card authority (you get to choose method)

So I understand, but that hasn't stopped Supanet...

A simple call to ofcom should get them kicked into touch.

I am with UKFSN and the service in genral is pretty good (in fact paradise compared to my old ISP). At heavy usage times the lowest speeds I have been getting has been in the region of 1Mbps. Most of te time it is way above this. Can't really comment on Vivaciti or any other entanet resellers but I should image speeds would be similar.

Thats interesting, Enta supposedly only cap down to 2mb speeds. The lack of speed with which they are enabling another segment (more bandwidth) is very displeasing.

I know but it may be down to contention on my exchange at busy periods.

I suspect that Supanet will soon comply and that they may well be the first ISP to suffer the penalties listed in OFCOM's regulations (10% of turnover) if they do not do so very quickly.
