Providers with 1 month/ 3 month contract?

[link to this post]

I need a provider for 4 months so need an ISP that has a 1 month or 3 month minimum contract. I know of Freeola and adsl 24 but a couple of months ago I think I found another one that had a three month contract that seemed promising but I'm not sure what it was. I've searched to no avail. Any ideas?

Im not sure to be honest. Freeola has a 1 month contract though and the one I think I recall had a three month minimum contract and possibly had a bigger download limit.

Quite a few ISP's have a monthly contract. You may need to pay an activation fee though.

Are you looking for a new connection, or a migration?

I will be migrating from sky broadband. As sky use LLU I'm not sure whether I will be excluded from free activation. I've got a MAC code though so I presume it will be ok.

Migrations from an LLU service are not free, as from BT's point of view, there is the same amount of work involved, so the connection fee applies, as it is a migration, that will mean you have limited down time.

NewNet I believe offer no cost migrations from an LLU source - I've migrated a friend in from Pipex on LLU to NewNet at no cost!
