For anyone considering PlusNet...

[link to this post]

Just an indication of PlusNet's customer support skills:

I have in my inbox an email form last week, stating that they'd replied to a ticket I had raised and I should go to the portal to see the details. The ticket was raised at the beginning of NOVEMBER, and I moved to another ISP in DECEMBER (their lack of response to problem reports being the final straw that made me jump ship).

Over 2.5 months for a response to a ticket (and that was only "customer has changed product"), one full month if you only count the time before I moved elsewhere. Wonderful. And by "wonderful" I mean "I wonder why I put up with the company for so long".

As you say PlusNet certainly not the flavour of the month, says an ex PlusNet customer - the sad part is they used to be so good.

I'm thinking you may have been better off posting on the PN board!

You can appeal against the fee you mentioned, assuming it's the deferred cost of activation and the modem fee - look at the PlusNet forum and somewhere on there from December [I think] is a post from me and my compromise with PlusNet.
