moving from aquiss

[link to this post]

Hi, Ive been with aquiss for 6 months now and Im looking to move on to another isp with a month or two month contract. As I have been having issues with aquiss would it make sense for me to move to another member of the entanet family? Say ukfsn who have a similar download allowance? Im quite a heavy downloader, as I game online and watch movies online etc but most of this activity is during offpeak times.
All opinions welcome and appreciated,
freya.

Hi,
moving from to another Enta provider is easy to do, it depends what your reasons for leaving them are, if your connection is over LT2P lines, then there could be a benefit.
What do you need from your connection?

Hi,
I ment there could be a benefit to moving to a non L2TP Enta provider, if the OP is on a non L2TP connection through Aquis, then the service (connection) would be the same.

Thanks for the reply. I havent a clue what you just said viv, could you explain it in laymans terms? Sorry!
I would be looking for the same service, but without the hostility, frequent disconnections, speed throttling, a more consistant speed and if I have a problem instead of being ignored and attacked on their non transparent forum someone might actually help me.

L2TP means they buy their ADSL feeds from Enta and then provide their services on top of that, We do have the same packages, but your disconects could indicate a fault on your line more than anything else, or a problem with your equipment, but it should be fixable.
We do have a forum, but to keep things as transparent as posible we decided to use a thrid part forum that we do not have control over so can't allow or disallow posts (we are not even moderators)
