Which ISP?

[link to this post]

I have ditched Free Online, as they were not totally reliable, replacing it with Sky Broadband, which worked for one day, then stopped working, so that is now cancelled, as the service was outrageously poor.

So, where do I go now for

Unlimited Download
Decent speed
But, especially, some access to decent service

frustrated, glynnjones

Are you sure the issue is not with your set-up? As it seems strange that Sky started and then stopped - if it never worked at all I could understand!

Also what's your expected usage per month?

We went through lots of testing & Sky concluded it was a BT problem.

The BT engineer came (on a Saturday, nice) and concluded it was a Sky problem, at the exchange

Required speed-open to suggestions, but I don't think I need more than 2Mb

Thanks, glynn

Not really bothered-not "free" like Sky, as (it seems to me) free=no service!
Thanks

Your 'unlimited' requirement is likely to be the main problem, at least at a price which you may be prepared to pay.

I don't download much-I thought that was less of an issue these days

Shall we say 8?

Thanks, Glynn

More of an issue these days - with many ISPs throttling/traffic shaping/applying Fair Usage Policies, etc.

I think it's worth saying that adsl24 are an Enta reseller so the choice of these is varied - if you look at www.dslzoneuk.net you will see the top ISP's according to their customers are Enta resellers - here's the Enta forum and you will find the Enta resellers post of their own accord as Think Broadband does not accord them their own boards.
