IDNet or Newnet

[link to this post]

Looking to migrate away from Zen to save a bit of cash.

My short list is IDNet and Newnet and I accept that I probably can't make a wrong choice. However I'm far from certain about which would suit us best.

Our average monthly download is ~5GB and I do expect good quality customer and technical support and have a stong preference for payment by DD.

I'm particularly interested to hear from ex Zen users about either or ex IDNet users about Newnet or vice versa.

Thanks for your feedback.

I was in a similar position to yourself when contemplating migration last November, with the same shortlist of two - the thing that made me drop IDNet from that list was their inability to accept Direct Debit payments. I don't know whether this has since changed.

Baldur,

No DD is still work in progress. Current estimate is end of Spring, whenever that is (June?). I can however sign up for IDNet lite and set up a SO for what I expect my monthly payment to be, which is a compromise I can live with.

Hi J, I was with NewNet and only moved begrudgingly because of a bundled deal, otherwise I would have stayed - NewNet offer fantastic customer support with solid connections; I'd recommended them any day.
