I am a bit upset now

[link to this post]

I have been waiting days for BT to activate my line and make the info available for ISP so they can sign me up

after spending 2 weeks searching, i was thinking about joining either BE or sky...

But now BE says i am too far from the exchange and cannoffer me a service.. What a shame

Can someone shed me some light?

I don;t want untra fast but a constant 2meg line is ok, with no cap or 40 gig a month... but no throttling...

hopefully no more than 25 quid a month... and a short contract..

thanks

In a word, no - have a look at Compare and your question will also be answered - if speed is your thing, what about Sky?

Do you subscribe to Sky TV?

Check out IDnet. They seem to fit your criteria. I have been with them for over a year and they are exceptional and very highly regarded. Superb CS and Support, all free.

BTw can't activate a line without an ISP order so if you've been rejected by Be, you'll probably be waiting a while longer. The BTw/BTo admin systems of late seem to be influenced by Pipex admin procedures so that "while longer" may turn out to be a long time indeed.
You won't really know until you've placed a new order with your chosen ISP.
