Which of these would you choose???

Im am about to hopefully sign up to a new ISP (awaiting a MAC code)... which of these would you people choose

UKonline 22Mb service
(their checker and others on sites like dslzone) indicate i should get around 15Mb {yummy} with that service...... Cost

I'd try the 22Mb service? And why not? Who wouldn't want to experience really fast broadband. Of course they'd have to offer a monthly account, so you could move quickly if you wanted/needed to.

I was reading a UK Online FUP that didn't state a limit, let alone 500 GB. Are you sure ?

Yep 100% sure, the fup on their site does not mention any figures, so i phoned and asked them, spoke to a very pleasent bloke that came straight out and honestly told me it was 500gig, he did not ermmm or ahhhh, put me on hold or anything like that either, which is a total contrast to my current isp.

Now ive answered you yarwell can i ask just to hopefully keep things on track which from the original post would you choose and why?

I'd take UK Online myself as I can see no reason not to over the others - had a quick look at the compare section and they could be better but they could be a lot worse plus they are part of the EasyNet infrastructure which I'm led to believe has huge capacity if necessary.

I am now on my 5th Isp in the last 10~15 years and everyone has had no FUP/limits when I joined but all changed the rulled and then capped/limited me.
Its just that way because we (the UK) just allow that to go on, go with which one you feel will let you go when they limit you and they will.

Ah... just seen that one of them is cable well that would where I would go as our (UK) problem is that BT are allowed to charge what they want.

BT cannot charge what they want; their charges are limited by Ofcom. Cable providers on the other hand are not regulated in the same way so really can charge what they want.

needed to clarify the facts before choosing. I would go with UK Online as Entanet can't sustainably deliver 300 GB to all but a few customers and its ADSL2+ so much faster on your line.

Cable doesn't enter into my thinking as I'm not likely to ever live in a cabled area. If you didn't need the phone line (BT rental is on top of UK Online cost) then that may sway you but cable seems expensive for what you get.

I would go for the VirginMedia Cable because there 4mb is going to be upgraded to 8mb

I would go for UkOnline if i could 22mb ummmm *Drools*
