If I was use I would concentrate on those ISPs who allow you to sign up to 3 months contracts or less. The EntaNet resellers, NewNet, and IDNet are regularly recommended. Identify a few and then look in the forums for the ISPs which interest you against your specific needs. There is a specialised games forum which you should also check out.

well that is your opinion, and if we knew where you lived (fill in your Personal information!) then we could comment on that...
AFAIK it is also the 'business end' of many other good ISPs, that do 1 month contracts... so others can test it for themselves...

I expect the OP has long gone. His MAC only has another couple of days.
Don't you just hate it when an OP asks for help then never posts again in the thread? Drives me bonkers.

I seem to recall that Tesco uses the old Virgin Net/NTL ADSL network for their products which, given the OP's experiences, may not be an ideal alternative.

Since the OP posted on 4 April with a MAC in his possession, and the thread died on 18 April, and the IP has never posted here or anywhere since 4 April, and seemed to be heading to UKOnline, and the thread only got bumped on 30 April because Sidney answered his own post here and is currently looking for a new ISP for himself with many threads, aren't you all wasting your time responding?
