In last six months I had great difficulties to have a isp provider in terms of speed, flexibility and reliability. I was with Waitrose for a year and the service was top notch. With Max connection always had 6500-7400. With Newnet I had roughly 5700 but latency was was really high. Now with Entanet reseller, and speed rougly 4300 and on their peak times gone down to 715.
Desperately seeking a provider like Waitrose but with higher download limit. Thinking about Be as my exchange support it and also ID Net.
Any suggestions?

How much are you likely do download?
If speed is an issue for you why not try Be on the shortest contact you can.

I consider myself as a medium user, but definitely speed is an issue for me. So far let down by the big names of the ISP.
I have requested for MAC and I was told that I have to wait as it will be issued by BT. Oh! every time i had low synch my isp told me that it is for BT stuck profile. I don't understand when I had a near perfect connection, why my line profile shows 4500???

If speed is an issue I'd go for Be -

Interesting that you say you have been let down as the ISP's you have mentioned have very good reputations with a solid following; I'm wondering if the slow down you have gradually seem is a by-product of the Internet getting more and more congested, and consequently changing ISP will not help - in fact, it may slow down, again!
I suppose the only advantage you may get with Be is that they will put you on their LLU, which should remove some of the congestion - an interesting situation I feel.

I expect you probably have done, but if not have a look at > www.madasafish.com/broadband/
and > www.global.net.uk/services/broadband/broadband_max_plus.asp
Both part of Brightview internet services, as is Waitrose.com
Edit:- They are 12 month contracts mind you.

Go to www.prodigynet.co.uk, click Support>>ADSL line capability check, and see if your exchange is congested.
Under NO circumstances consider Prodigynet for your supplier. They used to be good but not any longer. I leave them on Friday.

Now I am very confused.
First, are your the same anonymous poster as the one who opened this thread?
Second, is the phone number you put into the Prodigynet site the same phone number as you have broadband on?
The reason I ask is that neither of the first two anonymous posts make real sense with the results from the Prodigynet query. However, what does seem clear is that Oxford exchange has problems, and I would think Max ADSL would be suffering for everyone on it.
In particular in reply to "if my result is like above...
is it i only can get 500k adsl service and no chance for 8 meg? "
How you get a profile of 4500 is puzzling. I can understand the Green(250 kbps) for MAX being an under-estimate. Mine says 3000 and I get well over 5000, but surely you never got over 6500 from Waitrose on this line?

nope. i don't know why and how prodigy has come into this discussion. my local exchange is mile end, london.

I suggest you register, so we know who is posting. You have jumped into the middle of a thread which was started by an anonymous poster. So having established you are not the original poster, we still do not know if you were the second or not. We can be fairly sure you are the third, and now the fourth. If you had bothered to read what you were replying to, maybe you would know how Prodigynet got into the discussion. It's you that doesn't belong!
Multiple anonymous posters with similar problems in a single thread does not help you, any other anonymous poster, or any of us to give aid. Particularly you screw it up for the original poster.
So, register, and preferably start a new thread with your problem.
And original poster, it would help if you register and then tell us you started the thread
Edit:- To OP, also if any of the other anonymous posts are yours please

In reply to:

Id say you have answered your own question.
If you want a resonably high download limit and you want speed then IMO there is no question, id choose bethere over IDnet no hesitation.
IDnet are good but you wont be able to download as much with them as you will with bethere for anything close to the same price, also if you are not too far from the exchange the bethere service in terms of speed will be vastly superior.
