Thinking about a new ISP suggestions please

currently i am with aquiss on there office 90 package which is 8mb/0.8mb i pay �39.99 a month for it.

currently thinking that i could do with cutting back a little on alot of things so i am starting with this

i don't live in a Cable area or a LLU area i can only get ADSL max for the next few years

i am looking to keep an 8mbit down speed not too fussed about the upload speed, i am quite a heavy user consiting of around 150gb a month most of that is off peak and 150gb includes my uploads my highest ever download during peak times was 34gb in a month

is there any ISP's that would suit me at around the �30 mark? if i can save 10 here and a few more �10's else where it would make all the difference

i do alot of torrent downloading, streaming and XBL (so a stable connection is a must)

Anyone any ideas

Why not just move to another Entanet reseller on the home 30 package, 30GB peak and 300GB off peak for �20 a month. Or home 60 with 60GB peak and 330GB off peak for �30?

If you need an Office pack try office 45 at �29.

To the OP - there isn't anything else to suggest! Only don't aquiss do those packages - so just downgrade with them if you are happy? Or do they charge a bit more for them?

Favourites at the moment are ADSL24 and vivaciti of the other resellers.

However, I have worked out who you are from your post. I think your a little mistaken on your peak total figures. I can see figures much higher than 34gig, last month for instance.

i only mentioned my peak download which doesn't include my uploads as i said my average usage including uploads is about 150gb a month, my average peak usage is normally about 45gb including uploads

Well the best bit of advice you have had is move to a home package and except the slower upload and the higher contention at your exchange , that will only effect you if you are on a busy exchange...
Options on IPstream with though types of usage are limited, maybe have a look at Plussnet, they do unlimited after midnight, but openly admit to traffic shaping there network...
I was also on office90 but done my downloads before 10pm , and got full speed where ever i could find a fast enough source...
IF you can kerb your peak time usage , why not move to office45 and save your self �10 a month and keep your faster upload..
Apart from that , there is no moon on a stick for people that can only get a ipstream product , there are plenty of ISP out there that promise unlimited downloads but be ready for traffic shaping, port throttle and packet loss..
But please let us know if you do find something interesting , as i was where you are now, and could not find anything that came close to my entanet connection on ipstream, and i do mean nothing came close...
