Changing line rental from BT to Tiscali

[link to this post]

Currently I get tiscali broadband and tv, and pay line rental to BT. If I decide to take up the tiscali offer, I will be able to get free line rental.

However, I've heard that if I do this, then in order to be reconnected to BT, then I'd have to pay 150. Is this true?

Given that I may want to change after 12 months, this might not be a good idea.

I don't know about the charge but talk to BT. Be very wary of Tiscali, I am always careful about putting all my eggs in one basket if something goes wrong then you will be without three services. Tiscali have a track record of offering the earth just to hook you in - think of the Nationwide advert and then basically giving you the worst service of any ISP I have used.

I personally would never consider this type of package when you see an offer that sounds too good to be true - it usually is.

Best of luck - dev
