Hi,

I'm looking to get a fast, unlimited broadband with good service. I'm a very heavy user. I don't really care about the price, as long as it works well.

From browsing this website, it seems that O2 Pro or Be Pro would be the best offers for me. However I'm wondering about the differences between these two, since as I understand it, they are the same company and use the same network. The only differences that I see are :
- The price.
- O2 has a fair use policy.
- O2 provides a 802.11n wireless router.

So I have four questions :
- Is the Be/O2 network reliable?
- Are there any other differences to consider between these offers?
- How is O2's fair use policy enforced?
- Finally, is there any other offer that I might have overlooked and that might be interesting to me?

O2 bought Be a bit ago in order to get into broadband. Be seems to me to be biased towards the techie, O2 more to the general user.

Yes the network is reliable, though there are growing pains at the moment - new kit provision occasionally falls behind demand. A few people are having speed and latency problems in the evenings at the moment - I believe this should be sorted during January. Most people have no problem.

DNS servers however are less than perfect.

Be also has an FUP. Neither O2 nor Be have ever enforced the FUP so far as we know on these forums. The only place it seems possible it would be is on the O2 Access (BT ADSL Max IPStream) product, but not so far. In fact I have posted more than once arguing that O2 can sustain true unlimited on the Access package where most ISPs have failed.
