Combined ISP and domain registration?

[link to this post]

I'm looking for an ISP that also offers .com domainname registration and hosting. Currently my ISP is Madasafish and my domain registrar is Speednames. But I have a problem where some people are unable to send me email due to anti spam measures (something called SPF where my ISP checks that the email has actually originated from the server that sent it - SPF gets confused by the fact that my mail is forwarded from my domain registrar).

It would seem that the only solution is to find an ISP that also offers .com domain name registration and hosting, my assumption being that they would trust any mail forwarded by one of their own mail servers.

If it helps, we can do that for you, with all our packages we give full web hosting account (including email server and extras) plus we can manage the domain for you as well.

The other solution is to have email hosting with your domain host rather than forwarding domain emails to your ISP email service. Then you just alter your POP3 server in your email client to the domain email server address. You can also do the same with the SMTP server.

I just looked at the SpeedNames site and found it very hard to find what I wanted.

How much do they charge for your domain hosting, and is it registered in your name or theirs? Do they charge if you transfer it out to another host and if so how much, or is that free?

Their email hosting price of 15 euro pm is ludicrously high.

Purple Cloud, click in my sig, is 20 per 2 years for .com hosting and starts at 10 per year for email hosting with 10 mailboxes, unlimited aliases, POP3/SMTP/IMAP/Webmail, and Spam Assassin running on the servers.

Bob: Demon dialup >> Freeserve dialup >> BT Broadband >> Prodigynet >> Newnet >> O2 Standard.
Purple Cloud for domain, email and web space.
