Adsl24-Entanet-Or-who do you recomend

[link to this post]

Hi
I am switching away from BT due to the pathetic speeds
during the evening, they swear nothing is wrong with the line.

I was thinking of changing to either ADSL24(entanet) or possibly
Sky broadband. I am not on the mainland so Cable is defently out.

Where should I go(?), your thoughts and recomendations are welcome.

Could you let us know your exchange or the LLU operator presence shown by http://www.samknows.com/broadband/search.php ?

I would hold fire on joining Entanet, through any reseller as they are equaly affected by current issues, until:
1. current problems (mainly speed <1Mbit often at weekends and evenings) are sorted out
2. proper announcements have been made about the planned [but as yet hush hush probably partly due to the fury incited when the previous planned changes were leaked] product changes

Nip to the Entanet forum here for much discussion about the recent and current status.

Im just leaving ADSL24 for poor speeds at offpeak times and lack of information to thier customers on the situation. Thier was a time when I would recommend ADSL24 to anyone, but not anymore after the last few weeks of poor serice. Maybe sky would be better right now, looking into thier forums most people seem happy. Entanet seem to have serious issues right now with the new change over. Might be worth holding off and see if things get better first if your looking around at Entanet resellers.

Hope that helps!

Thanks to all reply's so far.

Exchange is VOE, LLU : is NO
Basicaly this a very very small exchange, allthough I only mentioned two
providers I would welcome ANY advise on ANY providers.

I appreate what you are saying about ADSL24/etanet it was my thoughts
after ready one complant in their forums.

My main problem being I can reach the BT tester site at decent speeds,
this is not born out though when going further to other sites like DSLZONEUK.NET

Was it good at first and when did it go bad?

Bob: Demon dialup >> Freeserve dialup >> BT Broadband >> Prodigynet >> Newnet >> O2 Standard.

What sort of usage are you looking at?

Plusnet can be good if happy with the traffic management, i.e. you fit into their schemes.
IDnet and Zen generally have a good rep - but carry a price tag.

Other non-llu that people suggest is not really that many.
