I just want an ISP with no throttling or capping!

[link to this post]

I had to leave Plus Net because they were throttling downloads.

Then I went to Demon and they started capping downloads.

I am moving home soon and I just want an ISP that doesnt limit my download speed. Im not bothered about the actual speed, as long as its reasonable and CONSISTENT. I dont use P2P, just Usenet. And I only use it 69pm and weekends.

Any advice?

Entanet? Pardon? Consistent speeds?

Plusnet Pro package does not limit speed. All traffic is a priority. 15gb monthly limit but unlimted between 00:00 - 08:00.

£19.99 a month which is what you would pay for a decent download limit with Entanet.

Well, they are consistently poor...

Srsly, I'd still recommend Enta for useneters. And, the 6pm-9pm speed all depends on where you live. Enta is still very good for Londoners.

Plusnet? I left Plusnet precisely because they were throttling my downloads!

Youre telling me they have now stopped throttling, but there is a download limit, and to avoid the limit I have to get up early and do all my downloading before 8am?

That sucks!

It's also fairly easy to schedule downloads to run at night. Just set your bios to switch the comp on at 4am every morning, automatically run whatever proggy you want, then use something like this proggy to switch the comp off when it's done.

Thanks but my computer is in my bedroom. There is no way I could or would have it on while Im asleep.
