Should I move NTL cable broadband to Sky broadband

[link to this post]

I have been considering moving to Sky broadband but have slight complications and would like some advice on this.

Current set-up:
TV package is Sky plus full package
Broadband 1 (personal) is NTL cable connection (in the study)
Telephone line is NTL (in the lounge)
Broadband 2 (work) is BT DSL connection paid by my employer, it looks like it has phone capability but i don't use it (in the study)

I am considering dropping NTL cable and phone and moving to Sky HD with Sky broadband and Sky talk - this would save money and give me Sky HD because NTL bill is currently £35 per month.

My question:
-Would Sky Broadband be completely independent from my work BT broadband connection?

You would need to install another BT line to be able to do this.

There can only be one ADSL type connection on a phone line. So you would need a second telephone line. I think Sky can now arrange installatiion of that considerably cheaper than BT Retail, but I'm not sure.

Bob: Demon dialup >> Freeserve dialup >> BT Broadband >> Prodigynet >> Newnet >> O2 Standard.
