Be vs Vivaciti/Titan (C&W)

Any comments on which one would be better between these two lots of LLU connections?

Both are available at my exchange (Summertown) and Be works out to be significantly cheaper (assuming I am willing to sign up to a 12 month contract - currently with the first three months free...).

Be are very good. I don't like their outsorcing call centres though.

LLU at titan seems to be a better go overall. Id go with titan if it was at my exchange, but it's really upto you and what you can afford.

Be have an excellent reputation here, including the support which has been from Bulgaria from the start.

Have you also considered O2 which tends to be cheaper still with UK support and the same network? See MKD's excellent comparison. Problems with O2 giving low speeds and poor latency are 99% to do with O2 Access which is BT ADSL Max and often under-provisioned, not the LLU service.

For the same reason the O2 rating has slipped in the TBB Comparison Charts.

I think the slate should be wiped clean, and a different catagory setup as I believe LLU ISPs are being severely under rated, and non LLU ISPs with service alot different to where they are at now are over rated. It's a bit like googling something, and finding out there were discoveries since the time of writing that article or something along the same lines; might be entirely different a decade later!

Just my opinion.

It's long been a discussion point re Sky LLU/Connect and O2 LLU/Access. In the case of Virgin Media at least the ADSL and Cable got split.

There is also the problem that the TBB ratings are inevitably subjective and once a person is pleased with a given ISP they are very reluctant to mark them down - witness Enta still being quite high and even more amazingly look at ukfsn in this comparison.

TBB ratings aren't helped by again being almost a month in arrears . Not long ago it was two months, then suddenly caught up.

I'm with Vivaciti and no problems to report here, depending on your usage the £21.85 LLU option which has no usage cap or FUP is great.

Been with Vivaciti (via C&W) since they launched their LLU product a month or so ago. They are excellent. I sync at about 12Mb and get 10.5Mb+ actual download speed. That remains constant, there are no slowdowns no matter what time of the day I use my connection.

I am very very happy. Customer service is good and even has a freephone number along side a normal geographic number (no 0870 rubbish)

You also get 250MB of webspace and unlimited emails included, which I believe Be charge extra for.

I would highly recommend Vivaciti.

People write what they feel at the current moment in time. Right now I rate enta highly.
