Which ISP - Not much choice

[link to this post]

Hi

Fed up with bt, 6 weeks to fix a problem, now slow speeds (just run a speed test at 10:05 and getting 0.7 mbps down and 0.4 up, meant to be getting between 2 - 2.5 meg).

On the wimborne exchange and from what I can see my options for llu are

AOL
Orange
Sky
Talk Talk
Tiscali

So not great then. I'm assuming Sky's the best alternative?

Cheers

If you have Sky LLU you should be able to get UKOnline. They don't require a Sky TV subscription. Check them out in http://forums.thinkbroadband.com/ukonline.html

AOL LLU is completely different to the dodgy speeds from IPstream. Appart from Orange and tiscali, all of the above are better then BT IPstream.

AOL, Tiscali and Talk Talk at some point will become the same thing.

Phil

MaxDSL - goes as fast as it can and doesn't read the line checker first.

Are your kids pirates ? Limewire, Bearshare, Kazaa, BitTorrent, eMule are all tools of the trade.
