What ISP moving from Entanet? fed up with ALT

[link to this post]

Hi

Fed up with ALT [censored] with adsl24 and would like a new no throttling unlimited ISP . Can only connect at 4mb and my exchange is non LLU. Im not a massive downloader, am happy to do most of it at weekends and during the night. Can anyone please suggest any ISPs?

Would O2 be good for me? a friend mentioned they are pretty good.

Thanks

Be/O2 are probably the best choice if your exchange is unbundled (Be/O2 LLU).

See http://www.samknows.com/broadband/search.php

O2 LLU is good. O2 Access, the non-LLU product is probably the only unlimited you will get but is highly variable in how good it is.

As they gain customers, with all the offers they have been doing for over a year, the performance goes off badly. Then they add kit and it goes back to good. Then ....

As mentioned, IDNet are good. So are Zen and Newnet. Newnet cheapest under 20GB total upload and download, the others cheaper above 20GB and don't count upload.

Best of the lot seems to be AAISP as long as you can handle the tiny Mon-Fri daytime allowance. (There is an unmetered overnight spell as well as the off-peak).

Bob: Demon dialup >> Freeserve dialup >> BT Broadband >> Prodigynet >> Newnet >> O2 Standard.
Purple Cloud for domain, email and web space.
