ISP for a Charity? (Non-LLU)

[link to this post]

Hi,

Any recommendations as to a good ISP for a small charity (local kindergarten) on a non-LLU exchange? (http://www.samknows.com/broadband/exchange/NDBRE)

Would like a bundled wireless router, and at least 10gb download allowance. It looks like the max speed we can get is only 3.5mb, so doesn't need to be super-fast.

A good home-use ISP would probably fit the bill too, but I thought there might be some better deals for charities.

Many thaks,

Mark

I don't know about the charity side of it, but assuming the idea is browsing rather than large file downloads I suggest you have a look at Plusnet.

Be careful how you read the prices, the ones that strike you are for Market 3 exchanges (where there are more than three wholesale suppliers). Yours is Market 1.

Importantly the web site has not yet been altered following the announcement yesterday that the 12 and 18 month contracts are to be scrapped for both new and existing customers, effective 22 October. See this post, my reply to it, and mand_beckett's reply to me.

It may be worth looking at the phone and broadband bundles as well.

This page would be relevant if heavier use is intended than I assume above.

Bob: Demon dialup >> Freeserve dialup >> BT Broadband >> Prodigynet >> Newnet >> O2 Standard.
Purple Cloud for domain, email and web space.
