Vodafone Home broadband...good or bad?

[link to this post]

Hi

I recently took out a mobile contract with Vodafone so this means i am eligible to sign up for their Home broadband service (non LLU, up to 8 meg) with unlimited landline calls all for £14 per month. I don't have any LLU suppliers at my exchange and i'm with Zen broadband paying £35pm for their 50gb service, typical usage is 30-50gb per month all at peak times.

So is anyone out there using Vodafone's home broadband service? How good/bad is it? Very tempted to go for it but even though they offer a 30 day money back guarantee, i don't want the hassle of switching back to Zen if things don't work out. Would appreciate your thoughts.

Thanks!
Shahid

it's a white label BT wholesale service like that from the PO. The latter seems to work fine.

MaxDSL - goes as fast as it can and doesn't read the line checker first.

I've been using it since July and am quite happy with it. At £25 pm including line rental, unlimited anytime phone use (up to 60 minutes and then re-dial) and unlimited broadband "up to 8Mb" (I currently get between 6 and 6.5 on average) I think it provides reasonable value for normal day to day life.

Thanks for that! What about evenings & weekends...do your speeds slow down at these times?
