O2 cashback is for existing mobile phone customers, although of course he could get a SIM and top it up by £10 per quarter, which wuld also lower the broadband price by £5.11pm. Doesn't sound that sort of person though.

What hasn't been mentioned is the heavy traffic management on The Basics, see my ISP Tips. Also the connection fee if he doesn't have an O2 mobile (SIM).

For 80p per month I really do recommend Be Value instead! Or at least go for the monthly contract option on O2 at £29.99 one-off initial charge.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk
My domains, website and mail hosting - Tsohost. Internet connection - O2 Standard.

he might want to visit the o2 forums before he decides, there are some unhappy people since the new packages with the traffic management and throttling came in.

I am an o2 customer who is bailing during the 30 period the CS has been appalling. they did offer me 3 months free to stay but it took me 4 months to get the service on and it has not been good

most of these reviews were made prior to the new packages with the caps and traffic management/throttling
